New Ranger Programme

Welcome to Royal Rangers, an action-packed, life-changing ministry for children of all ages. Boys and girls begin their Royal Rangers adventure at age five in the Ranger Kids programme. A church may combine five-year-olds with six and seven-year olds or offer separate classes for each of the three age groups of Ranger Kids.

After a child completes Ranger Kids, they move into Discovery Rangers. This group is for children ages eight through ten. Commanders at this level who choose to include camping events can organise trips and begin to train the Rangers in camping skills. The programme offers many alternatives to Rangers or churches that choose not to camp. Adventure Rangers is the programme for children ages eleven through thirteen. Expedition Rangers, with its many options, is the programme for youth ages fourteen through seventeen.

Ranger Kids

Ranger Kids is a weekly programme for boys and girls ages five through seven. This ministry can have a profound effect on children at this very impressionable age. The programme has unlimited possibilities as a tool for evangelism, teaching, and recreation.

The Royal Rangers programme provides the tools leaders need to teach the boys and girls in their groups about their country, community, school, church, outpost, family, and themselves. It also helps leaders to teach them how to become Christians. They will learn how to say no to drugs, gangs, and peer pressure, and how to make good choices. They will learn ways to say yes to their outpost, their church, and -most importantly- to Jesus Christ.

Discovery Rangers

Discovery Rangers is a weekly programme for boys and girls ages 8, 9, and 10-year-olds. The children in this age group will begin doing more outdoor activities, hiking, camping, and exploring other activities that are of interest to them.

The Discovery Rangers Advancement Trail is based on the needs, interests, and characteristics of children ages 8, 9, and 10. The trail is a plan of advancement through learning-from both experi­ences and activities, and being recognised for this learning. It is designed to offer every child adventure and fun. The trail is more than an interesting course of action; it is a new experience, a new achievement. It is a Ranger's opportunity to grow through new abilities, knowledge, and desires.

Adventure Rangers

Adventure Rangers is a weekly programme for boys and girls ages 11, 12, and 13. This ministry can have a profound effect on children at a stage of life when so much is changing. The programme has unlimited possibili­ties as a tool for evangelism, teaching, and recreation. They will build on the outdoor experiences, hiking, camping and other activities first enjoyed in Discovery Rangers.

Expedition Rangers

High Action, Trail, Sea, and Air Rangers are part of the Expedition Rangers programme offered to Rangers ages 14 through 17 years.

The Advancement Trail is designed to offer Royal Rangers the opportunity for adventure and challenge. It is more than simply an interesting course of action; it is the means of a new experience, a new achievement. It is an opportunity to grow into adulthood with new abilities, knowledge, and desires. Expedition Rangers earn skill merits and complete Spirit Challenge lessons to progress on the Advancement Trails.
